Event Packet Pick-Up Times:
Race Day from 7:00 - 8:30 AM

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR BIB TO BE SCORED · 1 MILE FUN RUN AND 5K LEISURE
ARE CLOCK TIMED · EACH PARTICIPANT WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT

The Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Club and its Foundation are organizers of this annual event. All monies raised by the Grosse Pointe Run are returned to the community through scholarships, grants and support of local charities.

Sometimes community involvement starts with an invitation.......

The Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary's 44th GP Run is this Saturday, Sept 16.  It's a fun community event and one of our largest fundraisers.  We are in need of a few people to assist as Course Marshals.  Three lanes of Lake Shore will be closed and each cross street along the route needs to be staffed.  GPF Auxillary Police will be present but in the event they get called away for a fire run, we need to have each location staffed to maintain safety on the course.

What does it entail?
  • Politely answer driver questions and direct all traffic to Westbound Lake Shore only.
  • Show up at 730a - grab a cup o' coffee, a safety vest and assigned corner. Course is secured @ 8am
  • Some people bring bikes to travel to their assigned spot and / or friend to spend some quality time.
  • We can drive and pick you up at assigned spot as well.
  • Cheer on the 400-600 runners..
  • Approx 10:30a - the last of runners / walkers will finish and police will open all lanes again.
  • Return your sexy lime green vest and receive a heart felt thank you from Rotary.
